What is Bible Baby Names about? Well, I'll tell you...

To begin with, this website was founded by Megan Valdivia who, out of her love and passion for Biblical names and their meanings, wanted to supply expectant parents with the knowledge that she had spent hours doing (just as a hobby!). She wanted to give people everything she knew about names and how they affect our lives.

Her love for names started when she was very young. She was always fascinated with how the names were formed, how many letters and syllables were in it, and if you were a new acquaintance, the first thing she'd want to know about you was what your name was. She's always on the look-out for new names she hasn't heard before and what they mean. Her family (and even Megan) wondered why she had such a love for names. Would God use this passion to bless others? Was it just a hobby? Did it mean anything?

Years rolled by, stacks of papers with random written names on them (original, Biblical, international, popular, unique, etc.) increased, name books amassed, names listed in the Bible were highlighted on every other page (especially in Chronicles!), and to say the least, her passion for names grew with every year that went by.

Finally, one day when her family was having one of their "family meetings", they all decided that she should make a website to document all of the names that she had learned with their meanings. They thought that her knowledge on names would benefit others who wanted to learn more about them; whether they were picking one for their new baby, changing their name, or just for fun.

So that's the story "about us".
